Winter White Wednesday

We are in the midst of yet another major snowstorm here in New England and EVERYTHING i see is whiter than white outside my window. So my mind and creative inclinations are to think of "spring!"
This is a mixed media project i finished recently.......

....a vintage book page ....
...a little maiden talking to a sweet bird...

..beckoning him to come live with her.
And here's the closeup of where my gluegun stick got jammed and i pressed it so hard that hot glue spurted out and onto the page!!

Oh well..onto the next project....some "nesting" tags.

And some petite burlap pouches....

...and lastly, sharing some finds from my trip to Michael's...
I thought i'd buy some supplies but couldn't resist these....

...j'adore those rhinestone-studded crowns!!

Not a whole lot of white inspiration here but it's the best i can do at the moment!
I'm heading over to
Kathleen's Faded Charm Cottage for  some diversion and inspiration!!

Happy White Wednesday mes amies!

Avec Amour,
~*~Michelle~*~
P.S. Happy Ground Hog's Day and Happy Birthday to my own little ground hog....my "baby!"

~ I'm with you, come on spring...hopefully very soon, when you put out birdseed it won't disappear into the feeder ~ but I bet for now, the birdies would eat it out of your hand ~ LOL!!

    warm squeezes dear one!

  6. Michelle, your mixed media project, tags and pouches look like they came right off the pages of beloved Jeanne D'Arc Living mag! What an artist you are, and the gluegun mishap just gives your result some character. Beautiful! We need to think spring with all this heavy white stuff. Oh, will it ever melt??? Sigh.
We'll definitely plan an excursion to Essex to cheer us up.
    (Happy Bday to your son!)

  7. Hi Michelle,
I bought a couple of those crown jars at Michaels last time too. Can't not buy them at 80% off. I only purchased two because all the others had the seal pushed down into the jar and I didn't know if they would come back out.
Don't ya just hate it when the glue gun does that? I am sure you will figure out some way to fix it. Love your projects!
    Blessings~
