As promised, I'm sharing what I did with some of my recent "junkin" finds.....
Here are some "before and afters"....
I just discovered a dreamy new spray paint by Krylon....
...it's called "Canvas White"....
...not as "yellow" as their "Antique White"....
...and not as "beige" as their "Almond" color.
May I say how much I LOVE this color?
White chocolate perfection in a can!
Heavenly....
....yummy!
Sprays on like butter....
...and just as smooth.
Nothing.....and I do mean NOTHING....
...escaped my spray painting frenzy!
If it wasn't nailed down....
...it was "sprayed down!" ;)
Three trips back to the hardware store....
...for more.....
....more!
(I need to apply for a job there....
...so I might take advantage of their employee discounts!)
Cause they're gonna get a whole lotta business from the little French gal from up the street!
Can't wait to fill this with seaside treasures....
...and find some pretty vintage pictures for these....
And last but not least....my personal favorite transformations....
...two 1.00 Goodwill finds....
oui...oui...much better!
Until next time....don't forget to spray in a well-ventilated area and wear a protective mask as well (or else you're gonna find some spray paint in places you never knew existed!! )
I've gotten spray paint up my nose before (sticks your nostrils together) LOL! I wear a mask now! Love the new color and how clean and crisp it looks! I'll have to get some - thanks for the tip! Hugs, Leena
ReplyDeleteokay, sending stuff to you to paint. LOL

ReplyDeleteI love that color Michelle!!! Thanks for the tip! Isn't it amazing how the details show so much better after you've painted them? I hope you have a wonderful weekend sweet friend, hugs and love, Dawn
ReplyDeleteGirl, you have been busy! Great transformations - totally new looks for these relics. Next time I see you will your hair be 'canvas white'?
ReplyDeleteOkay, off to start dinner now...happy weekend to you!
I love white, but I also love crusty white and old patina, so as great as it looks, I really liked some of it before paint, too! The rose metal vases in the last photo look amazing in white!

PML I laughed as I read the part about anything that was not nailed down. It does look like white chocolate. It reminds me of a story my mom told me about her mother who spray painted everything in sight gold. :) Happy sunday friend!
ReplyDeleteMC
My goodness girl........I've never seen so much sprayed white before! Thanks for the tip on the paint color. Good to know. It's amazing what a little can of spray paint can do to your life! I often save things that have good bones to consider painting before getting rid of it. I know you do too!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, each item is so lovely! I especially love the white candelabra.
ReplyDeleteI love all your whites. Lately I either spray paint with Hammered Iron, white, almond or do my Mercury glass faux treatment on whatever it is that I am painting. Love visiting here as always.
ReplyDeletewow, lol you went a bit cwazy, but i love it!!!! shocked me with 2 pieces, but the results worked. krylon is really on top of it arent they. have fun with your new color. susy
ReplyDeleteOk Michelle, this post had me at "hello"! I can't believe how gorgeous these pieces turned out in white...and turn them out you did!! You've definitely inspired me to paint some things that I would have other wise left alone...and I'm going to try that Canvas White! You are amazing my friend!

Yes, Krylon is my favorite spray paint. I didn't know there was a new white. I hope I can find it here. Love everything you painted. I picked up a new spray booth (cardboard box) at Ikea this week. I will have to try it out.

ReplyDeleteThis really does look to be the most perfect white.
I need to see if I can track this colour down over here in Scotland.

Lynne
Yes, perfect shade indeed! Love how ga-ga crazy you went with it.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. You should get a product endorsement at least:) I was in the hardware store the other day and thought now what did Michelle say? my phone couldn't get reception so I couldn't find your post so here I finally am. I'm usually a paint brush gal but I'll give it a whirl.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love your studio btw. I would so like to make mine all white but I think I have too much color that I love to completely convert. Besides all the painting I would have to do:(
Happy rest of the summer,
Carole
