Facelift....

Not ME sillies....my living room coffee table!

This coffee table once belonged to my grandparents.....

and then my parents....

and, when I got married, it came to live with us!

I've wanted to paint it forever and Maman gave me the "go ahead" so...

...paint it I did!!

No fancy painting techniques here.....just 1 coat of "Kilz" and 2 coats of creamy, dreamy "Bone White" semi-gloss....

I'm in love...sigh....

  20. As much as I sometimes cringe with the idea of painting over "real" wood, your makeover/facelift is perfect. It looks so much better now. And what a great old table, love the style.

  24. Hi Michelle,
Your table turned out gorgeous! I have a pair of old end tables that I want to paint but I was afraid of mixed the painted with the natural. After seeing how gorgeous yours looks with your other furniture pieces, (that blue chair is especially yummy!) I'm off to the paint store for sure! Beautiful, I always see so much to love here!
    Hugs,
    Patti
