My first White Wednesday Post and I'm very excited about it. I just LOVE all shades of white , especially winter whites. Here are some photos of decorations around my home and in my "shop." Don't forget to go on over to Faded Charm Cottage where our hostess, Kathleen, will link you to all the wonderful participants in this party! Merci!
My...how fast the week goes by! It's VCM again and I can hardly wait to visit all of the blogs participating in this event! Here are a few pictures from "around the house" ......collections of cookie cutters, Christmas balls, silverplate, angels and so much more. I had A LOT of treasures in those attic boxes! Brings back so many wonderful memories of Christmases past . Don't forgot to head over to our hostess' blog: Anything Goes Here to see more vintage Christmas inspiration!
“They come by surprise, December snows, Quiet, soft and steady. And before we know it, they’ve turned The world we’ve always known Into the world we’ve always dreamed of… A place of beauty, calm and untold possibility. Nothing on earth holds more promise, More pure magic, than a snowday. Nothing except Christmas itself.”
Amazing how fast a week goes by! i am happy to have a head start on Vintage Christmas Monday. No tossing and turning tonight! Here are a few of my favorite vintage Christmas "tresors." It snowed last night and this morning i woke up to a magical snowy wonderland. I have lived in New England my whole life and have woken up to hundreds of these "magical, snowy" mornings but it always takes my breath away! I count my blessings and am sharing some of them with you! Merci! Michelle
Joan over at Anything Goes Here asked in her most recent post : "What do you do when you're not blogging?" Oh my...a loaded questing that one! So...here's a picture of a tray in the workshop where i keep "works in progress." No...this isn't ONE project but close to a dozen of them! I'll confess....I'm one of those creative persons whose mind is quite "cluttered" most of the time. I start one project only to get an inspiration for another and put the current one down to start the "new" one. This goes on and on until i literally have close to a dozen projects in the works and not completed! Somehow though.....i see them to fruition and a new cluttered tray of inspiration begins! Such is the life of the cluttered creative mind! Any kindred spirits out there?
Hi all...had so much fun participating in Vintage Christmas Monday! It really got me excited for the season and motivated to get in that attic today! Anyways...here is another one of my vintage Christmas postcards that I wanted to share with you. Just click on the image to enlarge it and then right click to save it. Would be nice framed or made into tags for gifts. Enjoy!
Merci to Joan at Anything Goes Here for hosting Vintage Christmas Monday. I am thrilled to participate. Thanks for the invite Joan! So...confession time....i signed up for this marvelous event last night only to realize that I really have YET to get into the attic and drag down the boxes and boxes of my Christmas decorations. I tossed and turned all night wondering WHAT to post on this, my first Vintage Christmas Monday, but inspiration was just a few feet away, as always, in the "workshop" (AKA my dining room). Here are a few sparkly aqua-inspired Christmas items that I found in my inventory. I loved the way they came together....
Please don't forget to click on the button to right and check out Joan's Blog and all the other wonderfully creative participants in this vintage-inspired party!
I found this adorable petite vintage postcard this past weekend at my favorite flea market and wanted to share it with you. Just click it to enlarge and then save it to a folder. Feel free to use it in your artwork or to frame, etc as you deck your halls! I just love the image. despite the cold, snowy scene....it is very warm and inviting. makes you want to knock on that door and see what's inside! Merci!
It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving is over and Christmas is just around the corner. As much as I look forward to the first snowfall, i always hate to see the gorgeous fall colors fade away. Alas....one must "go with the flow" or get left behind! So.....as my blog header reads: "Oh Happy Snow!" I'll be decking the halls and trimming the tree very soon and anticipating that first snowfall as i do every winter. I hope you enjoy the start of the season as well!
Oh my....i am shaking as i type this first "post." i am new to the world of blogging so bear with me while i take a look around and figure this all out. a little more about me...i am a proud shop owner on ETSY and have admired the many talented people out there who share their creative spirit with the world. i only hope that my little corner of the blogworld inspires someone out there to tap into their creative souls as well. right now i am busy in the shop creating and assembling winter and holiday-themed items. I am loving winter whites...anything that sparkles...and all things vintage-inspired!
