"What's A Girl to Do?" Part 4

What's a girl to do when "grilling season" is almost over and she has lots and lots of THESE leftover??

...she makes these...

...and fills them with "tresors" like this....

...and this...

I fell in love with the concept of making these petite inspiration boxes when i joined my first petite box swap with Heather at Speckled Egg last fall. It was fun and challenging to transform these ho-hum matchboxes into little paquets filled with inspiration. I've joined a few more swaps since then and have been making some for gifts as well.
These will go up in my ETSY shop soon!

Oh Happy Day!

  1. OMG ~ you are brilliant!!! When I first saw these I thought you were going to take all the matches out and arrange them in little shot glasses ~ trim the glasses with lace and perhaps put a label on it. LOOK WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!! They are absolutely gorgeous and you never cease to amaze me. I want one ~ no make that I WANT SOME!!! Gosh, I really want some. Hugs to you. Marilyn

  11. These are mad, I love them but there is def something a little mad about making mini matchbox treasure chests :p.

I can imagine my partners response if I made these "err why are you decorating a matchbox?"

  17. These are amazing!!!!!!!!!!

I have covered my match boxes with music paper and my tea bag roses, but these are such a sweet change from that. And, I just got little crosses in a treasure jar, complete with rhinestones.
Gonna add this to my list for sure!
