Good morning Mes Amies.....I am happy to be participating in Vicki’s 2nd Annual “Grow Your Blog” party. It’s a delightful “meet & greet” event where you blog hop and introduce yourself to bloggers you might not have met yet. So...for those who don’t know me, permit me to introduce myself:
(Hmmmm..time for a new hairstyle...ya think??)
My name is Michelle , sometimes known as “Mickey”, “Mimi”, “Frenchy” (hubby’s nickname for me) and, here in blogland...“Petite Michelle Louise.” I decided to start blogging shortly after I opened my ETSY shop. Another shop owner encouraged me to blog as a way to share my creations with a wider audience. Little did I know then that I would end up sharing so much more than my “creations”and that I would grow to love & cherish the many kindred spirits that I would find here.
I thought it would be fun to share my very 1st Blog Post with you. I haven’t altered it in any way as I think it shows you my “younger blogger self” and, hopefully, how much I’ve grown in the last 5 years of blogging....

“Oh my....i am shaking as i type this first "post." i am new to the world of blogging so bear with me while i take a look around and figure this all out. a little more about me...i am a proud shop owner on ETSY and have admired the many talented people out there who share their creative spirit with the world. i only hope that my little corner of the blogworld inspires someone out there to tap into their creative souls as well. right now i am busy in the shop creating and assembling winter and holiday-themed items. I am loving winter whites...anything that sparkles...and all things vintage-inspired!
merci and thanks for stopping in!”

Fast forward 5 years later and it would take more than this humble blog post to truly share my “whole” self with you but I hope you’ll follow along and get to know me through the bits and pieces I share on :
“Petite Michelle Louise.”
So...”Who am I?”
I am a wife...a mother...a daughter...a sister...an aunt...a sister-in-law...a blogger...an artist....and last, but by no means least...a “friend.” I am “Franco-Americain”...born & raised in Maine and living in the Boston area now with my wonderful husband and son. I am an Educational Audiologist , member on the Board of Directors of my local Historical Society and spend the rest of my time creating to my hearts content in my home studio (you can take a tour HERE).

I call myself a “mixed media artist” but I guess you could say I use the term “loosely.” I don’t always use more than one medium in my pieces but I also don't use only ONE medium in everything I create.A bit confusing, I know but what I’m trying to say is that I use anywhere from paint, pencil, metal, fabric and “found objects” to infuse into whatever I’m creating at the moment. I have a “fickle muse” so I can be all over the place at times but that’s ok with me. I would get bored quickly if I didn’t have my hands in different mediums.
I’ve a had a few obstacles along the way (who doesn't) but I’ve always just accepted them as “part of the process.” I’d like to think that I have great faith and, with great faith comes the peace of knowing that, in the end, all will turn out as it should. I’ve learned that obstacles can actually be what gives a person the strength they didn't know they had to make the changes they really need. Obstacles force one to envision new beginnings and the courage to take a different path.
That one f those “paths” led me here.... has been one of my greatest blessings.
And so, to honor this special event, I am offering one of you a custom Inspiration Holder from my new “Give Your Spirt Wings” collection.
© 2011 - 2014 Michelle G. Ferullo
This collection is near & dear to my heart because it reminds me that, when you follow your hearts passion...it truly gives your spirit “wings.”

Winners name to be announced on February 15th.
And a very special “merci” to Vicki from “2 Bags Full” for hosting this wonderful event that allows us to share ourselves and our “loves” with new bloggers. Vicki is one of those “kindred spirits” and “life's’ blessings” that I spoke about earlier. She is a beautiful person inside and out and I am beyond blessed to call her “friend.”

You should be proud of your designs! They are stunning and whimsical. Did you use those old, glass doorknobs? I lived with my grandparents when I was a kid, and we had those types of door knobs, and I used to pull them out of the doors, and play diamond thief with them. I never would have thought to use them in such a beautiful way!
