I had Columbus Day all to myself so I decided to venture out to my beloved sea shore to breathe in some of that salty ocean air. Cape Ann, and the quaint seaport of Rockport, is my all-time favorite place to go when I need to nourish my soul. It was a picture-perfect Autumn day here in New England and my prayers were answered when I saw that I'd have the beach pretty much all to myself as well!
Let the tourists shop to their heart's content...this gal was happy filling her sea basket with
"cadeaux de la mer"..."gifts from the sea"....
I found this sweet silk flower just sitting on a rock....can't imagine why the wind and waves didn't whisk it away. Although I so very much wanted to add it to my basket of sea "tresors"...I left it there for someone else to discover.
Where I ate my lunch.....
....and the view from my "table"....
Dessert.....
Bearskin Neck.....
My beloved father's number....
...I see it everywhere and always "feel" his presence,
especially at the sea.
Strolling through a historic burial ground.
For my dear friend Glenn who is facing a difficult battle with hope and grace....
..."may you feel her loving arms around you dear Glenn."
And to all of my precious followers, I kindly ask that you pray for her healing.
Sign on a seaside cottage....

“I long for moments all alone
to absorb nature...
become part of it.
I long to taste the salty ocean air
while walking along the desolate shore....
The sound of seagulls crying above
and the cold water gliding over my feet
as the waves come gently rolling in.
Collecting perfectly imperfect seashells,
smooth-colored glass
and rounded pebbles.
Sitting on the rocky coast with the wind in my hair....
talking to the sea
and with each breath...
letting the wind blow my worries and cares away...
until I am filled with the salty ocean air...
and peace.”
