I recently participated in my first ever "Petite Inspiration Box Swap." This one was hosted by Heather at
The Speckled Egg. I've seen lots of blog posts about these petite swaps like Heather's Valentine Edition so when I saw that this one was a
"bird-themed" swap...well...i just had to jump in and give it a try! The pressure was ON! These are some talented and creative ladies!
"bird-themed" swap...well...i just had to jump in and give it a try! The pressure was ON! These are some talented and creative ladies!
...these are the three boxes I received.....sigh....
The first box I received was from Lisa at Tarnished and Tattered. If the inside of this sweet box was HALF as beautiful as the outside...i was in for a real treat! And..let me tell you...i was NOT disappointed!
It was obvious that Lisa had spent a great deal of time and put a lot of thought into making this such a SPECIAL swap box for me. I was speechless to say the least!
She made these beautiful resin pieces with vintage images...sweet handmade clay buttons with hand stamped bird and nest images as well....
...lots of gorgeous lace, trims and beaded pieces...vintage buttons...
"Merci" Lisa from the bottom of my heart for such thoughtful bits of inspiration for me!
The next box to arrive was from Melissa at Abigail's Pocatello. She decoupaged the outside of the box with a sweet bird image, a music page and created the tiniest nest with three petite eggs inside!
...it was filled with buttons, trims, flowers and glitter...
...rusty metal stars...scrabble tiles...bird paper cutouts....truffle tins...
...and 2 of the tiniest birds i've ever seen!
"Merci" Melissa for this sweet assemblage of inspiration for me!!
The next box to arrive was from our hostess, Heather at The Speckled Egg (I know...i almost died when i saw that I was in her group! This gal has been "around the block" if you know what I mean! I was nervous!)
..her box just took my breath away! a tiny nest with pearl beaded eggs....lots of ribbon..buttons...trims...
...seam binding in every color imaginable...silver foil angel wings..tiny metal bird charms...gorgeous flower appliques...
...speckled eggs (no pun intended Heather)....feathers...victorian scrap bird images...lovely tags...
"Merci" Heather for creating a petite box of art that I will cherish and that will inspire me for a long time to come!
Thank you too for making my first Petite Inspiration Box Swap such a pleasure to be part of! I look forward to many more!
