Back From London...

Hello dear "amies"...

I am back from my wonderful trip to London and will have lots to share in an upcoming Post. 

In the meantime, I wanted to check in and let you know that I will be posting a "Blogaversary Giveaway" real soon so do stay tuned!

In just two more days, I'm boarding a plane and flying here.....

London, England!

Yes..this is how I imagine it will look...like stepping back in time.

I'll be traveling with my sweet maman, two sisters and two nieces to visit one of my other nieces who is there studying abroad.

I have a long list of sites on my "itinerary wish list" and hope to bring back some special tresors from the British brocantes I'm longing to spend time in. 

It has not escaped my attention that, while I'm away, my blog will be celebrating a blogerversary so stay tuned for a special giveaway upon my return.

In the meantime, I wish all of my American friends a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Divine Inspiration

I leave for London on the 20th to visit my niece for Thanksgiving who is spending a semester abroad there. So I've been busy in the studio making xmas ornaments/reliquaries because I know that, when I return from this trip, the holidays will be in full swing.  

I tea stained some paper doilies and added some soulful  images from French Prayer Cards....

...and made petite pearl crosses to adorn others. 

I found some sweet shadow box lockets recently and turned them into reliquary ornaments...

...using more ethereal prayer card images...

...some printed onto fabric...

...and adorning  the back of each one with vintage lace....

...rhinestone crosses....

...and French prayers.

And a few old watch cases.....

 ...can be transformed into...

...holy lockets...

...and shrines.

I've been working on my newest line of Inspiration Photo Holders for the holidays.

I was inspired by the ever-creative Mamie Jane who recently posted about how to make Xmas Ornament holders using wire and a wood base.

I loved the idea of an ornament holder and decided to use my signature vintage doorknobs as a base instead.

I modified the wire so as to accommodate both a favorite photo or holiday card and....
