Remember these? Found them at a thrift shop in Boothbay Harbor, Maine this past summer.
Fell in LOVE with them and then made these.....
Well....I sooo wanted to find more of these heavenly hinges so I did an eBay search and, lo and behold, there was a listing for these....
...it only had 4 of the Fleur de lys nickel ones I was searching for but it also included the same hinge in brass and a lot of other petite and delicate hinges as well...
.....so I bid on it and WON!!
(cause for doing the "happy dance in my underpants" afterwards!)
So....then I thought I'd email the seller to ask if she had more of the nickel ones and, be still my heart, she said: "Oh yes. About 2 dozen."
Oh my.....I nearly swooned! She listed them and I SNAGGED them all!!
And, in case you've been wondering what I've been "up to" lately......
...wonder no more....
I've been making these....
..."Heavenly Hinges."
...adorning them with old watch cases....
... vintage medals....
...charms....
...beads and vintage findings.
Starting to list them in my ETSY shop tonight.
(Haven't been this obsessed creating anything since my Inspiration Holders! And oh, by the way, still doing the happy dance in my underpants!)
